Thoughts...

I've learned a lot about human nature of my short 21 years of life. I've learned that I'm overtly critical of myself, and the expectations that I place upon my own head are nothing short of ridiculous. Normally I'm not one to give in to certain characteristics, but for as much as I'd like to disagree, I am human, and I now understand that I will constantly continue to fight some of my very basic instincts, while embracing others. As humans, the need for companionship is almost irreplaceable. The need for acceptance is just as valuable. Placing "I" before "others" is a basic human instinct that we cannot entirely erase from our mental makeup.

Been awhile...

So it's been awhile since my last post...which was very...LOUD. But since then a lot of things have changed in my life and I'm enjoying it. I'm really super excited about the drypoint prints that I'm making in my Monotype class. I've decided to do two large (roughly 12inches) stencils/drypoints on teeth. Yes, that's right, teeth. Just two big ol' teeth, roots attached. They're actually very creepy...just like my weird obsession with teeth...anyways, I'm about to have my wisdom teeth cut out and I'm going to ask my surgeon, Dr. Kevorkian, yes, Kevorkian, if he'd like to buy some of my finished prints. What the fuck is this shit?

You know what? no. I'm not even going into it. I have never felt this much ferocity and vehemence towards someone in my entire life. To add to this, I hate annoying wannabe fuckers who think it's cool to rag on others artwork, especially when the comment is completely fucking retarded, and in no way is constructive criticism. Then they decide to further their stupidity by continuing to attempt a witty comeback, but succeed in only having it fail miserably. In the end, they get their asses handed to them.
